Gomez, our Miss Tourism International 2012 from Cebu has lung cancer. Even
though I don't know her personally, I am sincerely saddened by this news. This
beautiful girl who brought pride and honor to our country. I hope she responds
remarkably well to her treatment.

Yahoo! Back to Back in Miss Tourism International!
Just when everybody
thought the winning streak for the Philippines has ended for this year, the
almost unthinkable happened! The Philippines won the Miss Tourism International
in Malaysia. Angeli Dione Gomez eclipsed the other beautiful ladies in the New
Year’s Eve pageant.
Last year, our Philippine
bet Rizzini Gomez also won the title. What a beautiful back to back win. Both are
from the Philippines. Both have the surname Gomez. Both are from Cebu. to top
it all, both of them are Reyna ng Aliwan winners.

Miss Tourism International 2012 Flies to Malaysia
Reigning Miss Tourism International Rizzini Alexis Gomez of Cebu waves to well-wishers at NAIA before boarding her flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to crown her successor at the 2013 Miss Tourism International Pageant on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2013 at Mariott Resort & Spa in Selangor. Rizzini was accompanied by her younger brother Kim.
Rizzini won the Miss Tourism International 2012-2013 title in Kuala Lumpur on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2012 where she bested 55 delegates worldwide to usher in 2013 which eventually became a banner year for Philippine beauties in virtually all major international pageants, particularly winning the Philippines' first Miss World Megan Young), Asia's first Miss Supranational Mutya Datul), and the country's fifth Miss International (Bea Santiago), in addition to a host of runner-up and finalist placements in other international tilts.
A total of 60 delegates worldwide are vying for the coveted crown in Malaysia, including Mutya ng Pilipinas-Tourism International 2013 Angeli Dione Barbas Gomez (no relation to Rizzini) and who also hails from Cebu.
