 “Miss Philippines Glennifer Perido, who won Miss Tourism Metropolitan International or second runnerup in the contest, revealed that some candidates approached her and told her that she will not win anymore after the Philippines held the title for two consecutive years.

“We were getting ready for a pre-pageant activity when some girls told me that the Philippines will not make it to the Top 5 anymore,’’ said Perido in an interview after her arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 in Paranaque City….

Surprised, Perido just smiled and ignored the girls. Miss Hong Kong, roommate of Perido, who was listening to the girls, rushed to her. She asked her if she was alright. Perido said that Miss Hong Kong consoled her and advised her not to mind them. The beauty queen from Tabuk City refused to identify the girls.”
