Ma. Isabel Lopez: If I'll say I still am, will I get the crown tonight? How about you Madam, are you still a virgin?

Judge Rita Gomez: Hija, I have five children, how would you call that? Immaculate conception?

Ma. Isabel, who represented Philippines at the Miss Universe 1982, lashed out at the beauty contest organizer last March 2009 when she received mistreatment from them. It was reported that Ma. Isabel was forced to leave the pageant for attending it without an invitation. And who did it?

 

It was Myrna Panlilio who told her to leave the venue and who apparently called the security guards to escort her to the exit door. The reason why Ma. Isabel was barred was apparently because of her sexy image during the 1980's.

 

But with the death of Myrna, Ma. Isabel said in an interview that she had already forgiven the dead beauty queen.

 

Speaking sadly, Ma. Isabel said that "she respected and understood what she had to do at that time".

How Did Maria Isabel Lopez Win the Bb. Pilipinas 1982

Before Maribel was crowned BB. Pilipinas she was a Gerard Peter Model (model for sexy lingerie that showcases such stuff in the hottest night spots before). Before the start of the finals night of 1982 BB. PIlipinas, judges Rita Gomez and Armida Reyna went to the backstage, talked to Maribel, and confronted her if indeed she worked before as a GP Model.... she said YES and at the back of her mind she already said goodbye to any of the titles at stake that year.

She was called in as one of the semifinalists. Then fate as would have it, she was assigned to Rita Gomez for the Interview portion... thus the QUESTION... Are YOU STILL A VIRGIN.... came out.... Maribel, having already resigned to the fact that she has no chance of winning became very game and playful in that moment...even throwing the same question to the judge....she was the most surprise candidate when the announcements were made....

Maribel's stint at Miss U was forgettable to say the least. Even with a beautiful body, she still scored low in the swimsuit category which reflected the fact that she was not a favorite.

A few years after being crowned, Maribel, being a struggling actress dove into the 'penetration movies' (movies that simulates the sexual act, there is no actual sexual penetration so they claimed but the scenes are shown in such a way that a moviegoer would believe there was) These types of movies proliferated and were a dime a dozen produced back in the mid 80s.

BPCI, upon knowing what was going on with Maribel's sexy movies, immediately 'delisted" Maribel out of their OFFICIAL list of past winners..... she was no longer recognized in any of the functions of the ORG....
