For the past 2 years that we
started with the Beauty Pageant Powerhouse Province (BPPP) tally ranking, we
noticed a pattern already. Usually, when a Philippine delegate in the
international pageant wins – her home province also bags the Beauty Pageant
Powerhouse Province of the Year.

In 2013, Megan Young won
Miss World. Her province Zambales was
also declared 2013 Beauty Pageant Powerhouse Province not only because of her
impressive performance but also the good standing of her kababayans who also joined
the national Big 4.

In 2014, Jamie Herrell won
Miss Earth. Her province Cebu was also declared 2014 Beauty Pageant Powerhouse
Province because of the impressive performance not only of Jamie but also the
other Cebuana delegates who made it big in the national pageants.

This year, Pia Wurtzbach won
Miss Universe. Unfortunately, her province Misamis Oriental did not manage to
pull it off till the top of the competition in the Philippine Big 4.
However, this not a break
from the pattern. This year’s 2015 Beauty Pageant Powerhouse Province is
Pampanga. The Kapampangan beauties are the country’s best this year. And oh,
Ann Lorraine Colis, the reigning Miss Globe 2015 is from Pampanga.
