Polly of Thailand, Dethroned as Miss Earth Water 2013

Thailand is surely on a bad year this year as it was announced via ABS-CBN that Miss Earth Water 2013 Punika Kulsoontornrut has been officially dethroned of her title as of October 10th. Her participation in Miss International 2014 violates a part of her contract with Carousel productions that states that she cannot join any international pageant during their one year reign.

According to Carousel Productions, they gave ample time for Punika to withdraw her participation in the Miss International pageant. After a series of dethronement and abdications this year, Thai pageantry is mirroring the socio-political instability that the country is facing. No word yet if current Miss Earth-Fire Catharina Choi will be lifted to occupy Punika's vacated position.
