How Did Miss Philippines Perform During the Miss Universe 1975?

In 1975, Chiqui Brosas made it four in a row for the Philippines with a fifth place finish in the pageant held in El Salvador. She was reportedly the heavy fave of the international press covering the pageant in El Salvador and won over the locals there with her effervescent personality. She was on her way to a neck and neck race with eventual Miss Universe Joanna Pohtamo and Miss Haiti when she was stopped in the tracks with her smart alecky answer to the final question: " Who would you thank if you were crowned as Miss Universe?" Her reply: "The judges." You have to understand though that she was a mere 17 year old when she won the Bb. Pilipinas crown in 1975.
