The Senator Who Robbed Pia Wurtzbach BIG TIME!
Congratulations to all the winners! I can
promise that I will be supporting our new queens all the way!
Let me first say that ABS-CBN really made
many pageants netizens crazy/wild/angry over the ban of the livestream. It was
really a shock that many did not expect. I’m sure they are really making money
with what they are doing.
The presence of Miss Universe 2013
Gabriela Isler from Venezuela was a sight to behold. She is always referred by
the hosts as the “beautiful,” for indeed, she is beautiful and her visit to
Coron, Palawan is something that we Filipinos must really be thankful to her. She
becomes more beautiful in my eyes!
It was also a pleasant sight to see many
past beauty queens around. I can see Bianca Manalo cheering for her sister. Did
I say I was looking for Maria Isabel Lopez in the crowd?
The evening was not without surprises. It’s
a pity that Kim Suiza and Diana Arevalo who were top favorites for the crown
did not make it. The top 15 was not justified when some of the candidates were
not able to make a good answer. Zahara Mae Soriano just messed up with her q
and a. I was expecting Bianca Guidotti to nail the q and a but she was
trembling. Thanks to Anne Curtis, MJ Lastimosa was saved from not having heard
what Gabriela Isler seemingly mispronounced “advantage” with “advanz.” MJ gave
a great answer.
The gowns worn by the delegates were, as
usual, not at par with the gowns of Francis Libiran and Michael Cinco. What
else can we expect from Cumbia?
But
the biggest and most ridiculous part of the evening was the TAGALOG question of
Senator Juan Edgardo Angara, an incumbent senator of the Philippines. What is
he doing there! He even begged that he asked the question in Tagalog. He really
messed up the q and a of Binibini 8 Pia Wurtzbach who was forced to answer in
Tagalog and was not given time to translate her answer in English. Poor girl. A
senator just sabotaged her chances. I believed Pia deserved a higher placement.
PIA
SHOULD JOIN NEXT TIME…SHE TOO DESERVED A CROWN!
All in all, I agree that MJ is a good
representative, and for sure, she will make us proud come Miss Universe 2014 in
Brazil.
I’m excited! I can already hear the cheer
for…
MISS PHILIPPINES!!!
I'm also happy with the results and agree to some of your observations during the pageant.. but not with "the biggest and most ridiculous part of the evening was the TAGALOG question of Senator Juan Edgardo Angara".. Honestly, I was expecting Pia Wurtzbach to answer it in English, but it was HER CHOICE to answer it in Tagalog and not Sen. Angara's. Kaya don't blame the Senator for asking his question in Tagalog. P.S. I'm not a fan of Sen. Angara nor voted for him.
