The 30 candidates for Mutya
ng Pilipinas were presented to the media last Wednesday, July 13 at the 101
Hotel. According to the press release, the titles that are at stake in this
year's pageant are Mutya ng Pilipinas - Asia Pacific, Mutya ng Pilipinas -
Tourism International and Mutya ng Pilipinas - Overseas Communities.The pageant
is scheduled on July 30 at Resorts World Manila. The Mutya ng Pilipinas Organization
promotes “Beauty Tourism” within the greater Asia Pacific with the direct
participation of the Overseas Filipino Communities, this being a distinct
component of its National Pageant Event. The Organization is motivated and
inspired by its guiding thrust to assist in promoting Tourism, Social
Responsibility, Fashion, and Beauty pageantry.
