Miss Thailand Chalita Suansane Returns to the Philippines

Chalita Suansane is back in the Philippines, and it appears she traveled light this time around.
On Instagram, Thailand's representative to last month's Miss Universe pageant posted a photo of herself with only a single suitcase in tow. It's a sharp contrast to the 17 large bags she brought with her when she arrived in the country for the beauty pageant.

Chalita is in the country as a tourism ambassador for Thailand. She appeared at a travel expo held at SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

"I feel so lucky and so happy to be here and meet all my fans. I love everyone," she told ABS-CBN News' MJ Felipe.

Chalita urged Filipinos to visit Thailand and experience its rich culture, long history, natural beauty, and amazing food.

In the same interview, Chalita acknowledges that she felt a tad disappointed that she only managed to finish among the top six of the Miss Universe competition.

"The feeling is combination of two feelings," a translator speaking for Chalita said.

"The first one is that she feels sorry that she couldn't make it in the top three but, on the other hand, she's so happy that she could make it to the top six."

Binibining Pilipinas 2017 Official Candidates

The Binibing Pilipinas Committee is now on its edge of preparation for the Pre Screening of New Candidates that will compete for the Miss Universe Philippines Crown. Mrs. Araneta, the chairman of the BPO is now doing meetings with the possible spinsors for the event.

We all know that our plan to get Back to Back Crown failed. But we must move-on and start again. Bb. Pilipinas Committee will now be more strict and transparent to the candidates to choose the Right Woman to represent our country in the Miss Universe 2017 pageant. As a matter of fact, Ms. Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz, Ms. Universe 1973 Margarita Moran, Ms. Universe 1999 1st Runner Up Mirriam Quiambao, Ms. Universe 2012 1st Runner Up Janine Tugonon, Miss Universe 2010, Ms. Univrerse 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and 4th Runner Up Venus Raj will join the committee in the pre screening. There are 135 applicants but only 85 will move forward to the next round and compete for the Crown.

The BPO is looking for a Woman with Beauty, Intelligence, Elegance and Good Fighting Attitude. According to Ms. Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, to be a Miss Universe, you need to have the Guts, the Good Attitude and the wit. Beauty Pageants are not just about beauty, they're also demands for Brain and Congeniality. Passed Binibining Pilipinas title holders we're expecting a Good and Hard Fight for the upcoming pageant.
