Trivia: Miss USA 2008, Crystle Danae Stewart

Did you know that Crystle Danae Stewart, 2008 Miss USA and 2008 Miss Universe Top 10 had to join the Miss Texas USA Pageant System five times before winning the State pageant in 2008 which earned her the right to compete in Miss USA?

 

In Miss Texas USA, she was Semifinalist in 2003, Third Runner Up in 2004, First Runner Up in both 2006 & 2007 and grand winner in 2008. In addition, she had to settle as First Runner Up in Miss Houston both in 2005 & 2006.

Trivia on Sushmita Sen, Miss Universe 1994

Did you know that Sushmita Sen was discovered by Ramjan Bakshi from "The Times of India" newspaper while she was dancing in a disco? The man approached her and said: "You know, you are very beautiful and you should participate in Miss India contest."

25 contestants backed out when they heard that Aishwayra Rai was joining and Sushmita told Bakshi that she will not participate either.

When Sushmita went home, her mother scolded at her saying that it wasn't a good thing to lose without even trying. She exclaimed: "Even if you think you can lose from the most beautiful girl (referring to Aishwarya), then lose from her. What is the use of being defeated by someone else?"

The rest they say is history.
