THE TEXTS BELOW ARE FROM PAWEE
VENTURA OF MISSOSOLOGY:
Hey guys,
allow me to vent out.
It all started early this year when pageant
organizers from Myanmar invited me to cover and judge their national pageant
and also undergo training from misso peeps - Macoy & Mario. Myanmar is a
newbie sa pageant world, and they wanted us to help organize their pageant and
also teach their girls how to walk, pose, etc basically everything they need to
know sa beauty pageants...
Marami
pumatol, magsalita or explain my side. I'm not the type of person na
"ma-issue" sa katawan, like i said in the past - issues are soooo
beneath me, and i have a life outside the pageant world. Pero now that it has
gotten out of control, with the presence of some people (using fake/dummy
accounts) who continue to attack me, please allow me to finally clear things
out:
1. Never po
ako kumita sa pagtrain sa Myanmar queens. When they asked us to help train
their girls, i agreed to do it, basically for the "fun of it". Macoy
& Mario are really the ones who rendered their time and efforts to train.
Hindi naman ako trainer talaga. I will always consider myself a normal pageant
lover/fan. That's it.
competing in beauty pageants, i've been covering pageants for many years now
and I somehow know what pageant owners are looking for in a winner. Kasi parang
job application din talaga ang beauty pageants. Noong nasa Myanmar kami, we
were treated like "family" to them. We were considered as teachers ng
mga aspirants doon and isa sa mga religious beliefs sa bansa nila is - God,
Teachers & Elderly should be treated with high importance. Sobrang
heart-warming ang naging experience namin doon. Part of the prize of their
winners is further training in the Philippines. We never asked for anything for
them. My family even hosted their stay in Tarlac and gusto ko maexperience nila
If you guys only knew about Miss
Myanmar APW's life story. I knew God blessed her with victory because she has a
pure heart and a kind soul. When I saw this girl, I knew she had that something
special, a diamond in the rough and has all the potential to succeed in any
int'l pageants....
2. When I get invited to cover/judge pageants, they just shoulder my airfare,
hotel & accommodation. Pageant owners would ask me kung ano terms ko, pero
never ako nagpapabayad. You may ask any of the pageant owners if nagpabayad ako
sa kanila whenever they invite me to cover. I just accepted once from Miss Mila
Manuel of Face of Beauty kasi pinilit nya ako tanggapin ko un right after the
pageant as a simple token. People around me would advise me to demand kahit
"honorarium" lang pero i don't need it. Hindi ako mukhang pera and
i'm never a business minded person. I always consider invitations to cover
pageants as blessing from God and as much as possible, I give my very best to
build good relationships with everyone. I always value "integrity",
"honesty" & i'm always positive in everything that I do. And
thankfully, the pageant owners continue to invite Missosology every year
although there are times na may conflict of schedule with pageants happening at
the same time. There are instances when we get 4 int'l pageant invitations in
one month. Last year, I decided to send misso members to cover overseas - the
ones that can be trusted and who can best represent our community.
3. Missosology is catering foreign members and we need to keep a
"global" atmosphere within our sites. It's never all about the
"Philippines."
manalo. There's a big, big world out there. I am a Proud Filipino and I always
support our own delegates in every possible way. When I cover pageants, I do
not just help Miss Philippines or Miss Myanmar. I also help other girls who
would come to me to seek my advice.
pakisamahan lahat ng candidates and I'm always partial & fair to them. Some
of us tend to forget the real essence of beauty pageants. It's not just a
competition. Beauties from different parts of the globe represent all that is
good and right in their respective nations. The main point of participating in
beauty pageants is to promote goodwill, camaraderie and friendships with
everyone. (it may sound cliche but it's true)
Here's a recent of photo of me during a little "reunion" with
contestants i met in pageants i covered in the past. I was in Korea and they
took a time out in their busy schedules to meet up with me. This is just a
simple proof that in pageants, we can actually gain friends.
4. Someone
is trying to spread unfounded rumor about me that I sat as one of the judges in
the recently concluded Miss APW. I just came there to do a coverage on the
pageant. That's just about it. When I was covering the pageant, I tried to
distance myselffrom May. I felt that I have already taught her what she needs
to do in order to shine in the pageant. May is really determined to win, she
has that "Mutya-ish" spark, flair & smile, and above all, she
speaks Korean fluently. Ito ang mga naging edge nya.
I respect your opinion. I only did it out of willingness to help. That's just
about it.
6. Sa naninira po sa akin, may God Bless your heart and may He enlighten your
mind. Remember, if you've started something out of personal grudge,
evil/negative intentions, you will never succeed.
Naaapektuhan lang ako every time
i read personal messages of sympathy. I'm really a strong and cool person,
please don't worry about me.
